this could be me singing...

Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
In '77 and '69 revolution was in the air
I was born too late and to a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair

When the head of state didn't play guitar
Not everybody drove a car
When music really mattered and when radio was king
When accountants didn't have control
And the media couldn't buy your soul
When computers were still scary and we didn't know everything

Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
In '77 and '69 revolution was in the air
I was born too late to a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair

When popstars still remained a myth
And ignorance could still be bliss
And when God Saved the Queen she turned a whiter shade of pale
My mum and dad were in their teens
And anarchy was still a dream
And the only way to stay in touch was a letter in the mail

Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
In '77 and '69 revolution was in the air
I was born too late to a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair

When record shops were still on top
And vinyl was all that they stocked
And the super info highway was still drifting out in space
Kids were wearing hand me downs
And playing games meant kick arounds
And footballers still had long hair and dirt across their face

Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
In '77 and '69 revolution was in the air
I was born too late to a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
I was born too late to a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair

I am back...

...from creating! I have 5 layouts finished in the last 2 hours!!! Yeah! This one is for the third Lisafisa challenge! I used the colors as inspiration and actually took out the sewing machine :) .
I have the others over

...crazy people!

First up; thank you so much for the congratulations on my last post! It is awesome to have people like you come on here and congrate me :) Makes me happy! And yes it is an awesome feeling to be able to say that I am being published aswell. At first I was happy the way you know when you jump up and downs and really want to just burst out in a good musical tune :) But I didn´t because i was at work at the time...but I did call my dear husband!I am looking forward to that!

We had some fun visitors this weekend; my husbands brother and his girlsfriend. They are such a funny cuple: she is a "tree-hugger" as my husband says (biologist) and he is a physic major. Odd as can be but very fun to be around. On the ferry ride over today we had a little fun as you can see :) haha...who won?

I am behind on my Christmas projects, and I am making up new ones all the time :) This week I have to finish the advent calender for my daughter since the first is on friday. I am planning to make it out of matchboxes where I will place either a small gift or a small note telling her an activity or where she can go to collect a larger gift. This way I can slide in the actual note the day before, when I really know if I am up to for example cookie baking or not :) Am I clever or what!!! :)

I am really itcing to go create something now, so I am leaving you with a new favorite of me and my husband...I love him very much!

Lisafisa challenge #3

...And I promise I will do it this time!!!!

This is my journal where I write everything in my creative life. It can be ideas, websites, lists (lots and lots) or anything else you can think of. Iove it so much, not only because it holds my ideas and inspiration, but it is so nice to look at aswell! :) Isn´t it?!
Have fun! I will...

...tada...

...here is Inges fabulous take on the second Lisafisa challenge! I L O V E it!!! It is su funky and fun, isn´t it! Thanks again Inge for doing it!

Otherwise I have really been in a low point creatingwise...but yesterday my daughter went home with a friend after school and I had a short day at work, so I rented a movie, bought some candy (!) and scrapped a while! I did my CJ entry do Ines CJ. And started on an idea from
Lisa McGarvey (will share later). And this one:

My daughter is such a rocksuperstar right now. Before she was all pink and princesses, but now she listens to rockmusic and headbangs in the car :) I love it!

reflection on a friday morning...

First up I am terrible at my own challenges...sorry :( But I´d love to see yours :)
Second, I felt old for the third time in my life yesterday.
  • First time: when I realized that I had been friends with someone for 17!!! years!!! (Now it is 19...) Yikes!
  • Second time: WhenI realized that kids that were born in the 80s are adults! What??!! I know what you are thinking; "She was born in 79´ for God sake!" I know that, but really people come on! The 80s!
  • Third time: A woman I barely know, but chit chat with once in a while had a shirt on yesterday that said" Graduation (High school) 2004, "Oh, are you that young", I said jokingly and expevtion an anwer like "Oh, no I borrowed the shirt from my kid sister" But how wrong was I?! "Haha", she responded, "Well, yes I had to go one extra year, so I am 22 now." What??!! For a year now I have thought that she is in her 30s or atleast the same age as me. But 22!!!! And she has 2 year old twins!

Let me say that I really don´t feel old, but at those times it just hits me. I am almsot 30! And I don´t feel older than I did when I was 15 (that would mean that I feel like 13 !) It is just the math that makes my head spin.Today I am embracing that I am a 27 year-old-feeling-like-15 (13) woman!

AZINE challenge!

"This week I want you to take a bit of time to check out your own style.
What defines your style? Create a layout shows examples of your own style
evolution - write about how you have grown as a life artist/scrapbooker since
you first began. These sorts of stories are so important as a part of your own
personal history. How cool for your family to see all the layouts you have
created AND a layout that talks about how you see yourself evolving as a life
artist/ scrapbooker."
AE

This was the weekly challenge I was talking a bit about in my last post. I am so happy about this, because I really felt lost last night scrapwise (and others). What was I to do? I have all these great inspirations from people and things but nothing to do myself. It was so much fun making this page! Only things that are my favorites. I went back looking in my latest album which is from september of this year and this is what I found...or these things mainly! So, come on! Make one, maybe you don´t want to share it, but make one just for the fun of it!

Edited: For some reason this image will not be shown when you click on it for a bigger view...Try going here!

...blah...

...I was feeling really just BLAH last night...yuck! I sat a few moments infront of the PC just browsing a few of my favorite places... 2peas offcourse; going through the gallery and checking the messageboard...my email; got an awesome link to a friends sisters weddingpics (thanks J!)...over to Beezie-land...stopped by Ali; the newsletter should be in my inbox today!...and Elsie and her music...a quick stop at Kims just checking in...went to check for my favorite mags at press-stop.se ...then I came back here and what do I see? ! COMMENT on my last post!!! And it was Marie from Beezie-land! And she LOVES everything I do!!! :) That my friends put a smile to my otherwise blah-ish face! Thanks Marie! After that I put my jammies on, kissed the DH goodnight and went to bed with Dr. Kay Scarpetta! Well, Patricia Cornwell really :) she writes my favorite books!
Edit: The newsletter is here and it is a very cool topic...will tell more later!

I am back....

...from a weekend in Gothenburg where my mother and father in law lives. We went there mainly because we got some new tires for the car that we had bought in the city. But we also went to a small concert where my very talented BIL plays. He plays in many different bands, but for now it was the band called "Vier Brillen" which in german means "Four eyeglasses". Haha...anyway, they where really good and they had such a great time themselves and it showed.

I also snapped a photo of the DH and Chanty (the dog). They love eachother very much!

creative update:

  • I have updated the "what I am making for christmas" list with links to a few new projects.
  • I have listed a wishlist, as promised. (I am thinking of making some links aswell.)
  • I think I am making my own challenge soon :)
  • And, I have also listed some of my inspiration here on the left!

So, this is another short post...be back later!

Lisafisa challenge #2

We have these "once- a -week- fancier-café-breaks" at work. And this week the staff that had made the cockies and bread had these awesome paper napkins. I love the color and the swirls... minus the wrinkles in the scan :) So I decided that this is going to be the inspiration for the 2nd Lisafisa challenge! Have fun!

...coming up!

...so there are a few things new on the blog or coming soon!
  • In the section to the right "what I am making for Christmas" is updated with links to the projects I am already finished with.
  • If you scroll way down to the bottom of the main page you will find my December Planner. Ha! Right now it is kind of empty, but I will be sure to update it whenever a new event occur. Just so that you can keep track on my life :)
  • I will also be adding a wishlist soon. Not for anyone to feel pressure to buy me anything, but maybe, just maybe it will insire someone else to something!
  • Lisafisa challenge #2 is coming up! Please join in!
  • I am going to list links to some of those inspiring women I have gotten to know through this hobby called scrapbooking. :)

But for now...have a good night!

...i am feeling...

...creative :) It is one of the most full filling feelings in the world! Maybe that is why I have changed a few things over here! And I have even scrapped tonight! This layout was meant to be a HMITM challenge, but I just couldn´t throw any more emellishments on there... :) The theme was love is and I made one part of it! Journaling says: Love is...sticking together... Which if you know my and my husbands history says a lot. (Maybe I´ll tell that story one day...)
I am so looking forward to start posting comments and share some challenge ideas and other stuff on the "suziebeezieland" I really feel honored to be a part of that!
So long for now :)

...friends...

My good friend J called me yesterday! He has been a bad boy being away from the computer and phone alot lately :) It is always nice to hear from him.

Pigled sidled up to Pooh from behind.
'Pooh!' he whispered.
'Yes, Piglet?'
'Nothing,' said Piglet, taking Pooh´s paw.
'Ijust wanted to be sure of you.'

I got to think about a little quote in "Winnie the Poohs Little book of friendship" when he called me. We have been friends for almost 10 years. Some of the time we talk or email very often, other times life gets busy and we don´t talk for awhile. But we are still the good friends that we were last time. Isn´t that quote good?!

...I am home!

Oh my oh my...thank God I am home! It was the first of November yesterday and offcourse it started to snow. I phoned home and there we have 3 decimeters of snow and a blizzard + my husband has the tummy flu!!Blah! It started snowing and it was cold. The longer it came into the day it started to be VERY windy. We took the ferry home from Denmark at 2.30 pm and then they said that the wind blew at 15 m/s HA! 15 my A**!!! Ok, we got our preeordered food and sat down just in the front of the ship. And then it started rocking. In a matter of a half an hour most of the 1500 passengers were seasick and just throwing up everywhere, laying on the floor just past out! It was caos I tell you. AND it came to our notice the the wind blew 27 m/s. That is a storm people!!!!! I helped a coworker because she was just teriffied and that helped me o stay calm! Phu...I was nice to come into harbour I tell you!

The visit was ok. I would have rather stayed home, but that is just how I am. We vivisted one school that has specific teaching skills and one pree.school. It is always fun to see other things. The city we lived in is called Aalborg and it is so cute. It has these really neat old houses, and anyone who knows me knows I always look at houses!

I didn´t go home right away. I stayed in Gothenburg to pick up my daughter from my MIL and FIL. It was so good to see her! We hadn´t seen eachother for 6 days! :( She has had a blast offcourse, she is their only grandchild! She went to the movies twice in 2 days and watched 6 other movies at their home (they have a home cinema). And went to a kids theather and played games and well... you name it!

More to come soon!
